B) CONF'ORIR?1ANCE WITH STATEICOUINTY PLAINS 1) State Land Use designation: The subject property is situated within the State Land Use Urban district. 2) Applicable goals/policies and objectives of the General Plan: The proposed project is consistent with the following goals, policies, and objectives of the General Plan. Housing Element • Attain safe, sanitary, and livable housing for the residents of the County of Hawaii. • Attain a diversity of socio-economic housing mix throughout the different parts of the County. • Maintain a housing supply that allows a variety of choices. • Encourage a volume of construction and rehabilitation of housing sufficient to meet growth needs and correct existing deficiencies. Land Use-Single Family Residential • To maximize choices of single-family residential lots and/or housing for residents of the County. • To provide single-family residential areas conveniently located to public and private services, shopping, other community activities and convenient access to employment centers that takes natural beauty into consideration. • Designate and allocate single-family residential zoned lands at varying densities for future use in accordance with the needs of the communities and the stated goals, policies, and standards. Economic • Provide residents with opportunities to improve their quality of life through economic development that enhances the County's natural and social environment. • Economic development and improvement shall be in balance with the physical, social, and cultural environments of the island of Hawaii. 3) General Plan designation: The General Plan Land Use Pattern Allocation Guide (LUPAG) Map designation for this section of Kehaulani Street is Low Density Urban. 4) Zoning: The zoning designation for the subject property is Single Family Residential 15,000 (RS-15).
