DUTIES OF THE POSITION <br /> List each duty assigned to the position separately. If mores ace is needed, use a blank sheet and attach to this forth. <br /> Duties Summary: Installs, tests, maintains, repairs, and calibrates electronic components of power and control systems; designs Show <br /> and modifies electrical and electronic circuits to meet operational needs; and performs other related duties as required. % <br /> of time <br /> 1. Under general supervision, independently installs, maintains, repairs and calibrates digital controllers, input/output devices, AC <br /> and DC power supplies, electronic signaling cables, spread spectrum and/or RF transmitters and receivers, electronic 50% <br /> transducers, industrial data communications equipment, video surveillance and video detection cameras, photocell controllers, <br /> printed circuit card, electronic digital counters, electronic loggers, safety controllers, optical detection devices and emitters, <br /> standard time receivers and video monitors. Operates vehicle to get to worksites island-wide. <br /> 2. Also under general supervision, independently works on systems maintenance functions. 25% <br /> • Operates and maintains electrical, electronic, and other testing equipment. <br /> • Reads and interprets electrical and electronic plans and schematic diagrams. <br /> • Performs preventive maintenance inspections as directed under a Preventive Maintenance program. <br /> • Participates in maintaining and updating the Electronic Systems Maintenance Documentation. <br /> • Prepares documentation and ships broken or defective electronics equipment for repairs. <br /> 3. Under the direction of the Electrical Engineer, prepares and completes all assigned electronic work. 15% <br /> • Prepares schematic and wiring diagrams. <br /> • Builds and modifies electronic circuits. <br /> • Performs field measurements and data collections. <br /> • Installs software and runs utility programs for evaluations, configuration settings, data logging and automated <br /> controller operations. <br /> • Performs any other related duties as directed by the Electrical Engineer <br /> 4. Performs work as requested by the Traffic Supervising Technician 15% <br /> • Downloads configuration data to traffic controllers. <br /> • Reviews and analyses controller performance with regards to reports of possible operational deficiencies. <br /> • Performs other related traffic control tasks as necessary in maintaining safe traffic operations. <br /> 4.
