<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 1.150 <br /> <br /> DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br /> ACCOUNT CLERK <br /> SR 11; BU 03 <br /> Duties Summary: <br /> <br /> Independently reviews, posts to, revises, and summarizes`paper and electronic <br /> fiscal records and statements; compiles data and prepares reports; and performs <br /> other related duties as assigned. <br /> <br /> Distinguishing Characteristics: <br /> <br /> This class is distinguished by its responsibility to independently perform account <br /> recordkeeping work not covered by prescribed procedures and to exercise judgment <br /> in interpreting and applying applicable laws and rules to the work.processes. <br /> Examples of Duties: (The following are examples of duties and are not necessarily descriptive <br /> of any one position in this class. The omission of specific duty statements does not preclude the <br /> assignment of such duties if they are a logical assignment for the position and are consistent <br /> with the class concept.) <br /> <br /> • Sets up, verifies, posts to, balances, maintains, and reconciles paper and <br /> electronic journals, ledgers, appropriation allotment accounts, invoice registers, <br /> individual accounts, P-card purchases, and other subsidiary records. <br /> • Classifies and codes expenditures or revenues, determining appropriate accounts <br /> to be charged or credited; posts to budgetary accounts. <br /> <br /> • Purchases supplies, materials, equipment, and/or services in accordance with <br /> applicable County purchasing and procurement rules; refers to manuals, catalogs, <br /> and other sources for detailed specifications; prepares, processes, and enters <br /> requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices into the financial resource enterprise <br /> system utilizing proper queues and accounts. <br /> <br /> • Checks vouchers, invoices, purchase orders, and other data for conformance with <br /> standards and accuracy of extensions and computations; distributes charges to <br /> proper accounts. <br /> • Receives, receipts, and deposits cash collections; maintains appropriate records. <br /> <br /> • Takes periodic trial balances; reconciles balances; and prepares reports. <br /> <br /> • Audits and processes timesheets and related leave and payroll documents; <br /> ensures compliance to rules, laws, and collective bargaining provisions; enters <br /> timesheet information into electronic payroll system; audits payroll reports to ensure <br /> accuracy of input; and keeps track of employee leave balances. <br /> <br /> 7Cawai'i County is an EquaTOyyortunity Provider andEmyloyer. <br />
