Major elements included mass <br />excavation and grading; installation of eight-ounce and sixteen-ounce geotextiles; <br />construction of a groundwater collection system; construction of a leachate collection <br />and recovery system; installation ofgeocomposite drainage fabric, geosynthetic clay <br />liner, and 80-mil geomembrane; and construction of miscellaneous drainage <br />improvements. Duties included preparation of construction documents, construction <br />management and construction quality assurance monitoring (1996-1997); <br />~ Resident Engineer during the Cell 1 Development and Leachate Ponds Closure Project <br />at the City of Santa Cruz Landfill, Santa Cruz, California. Major elements included <br />mass excavation and grading; import, processing, and placement of a low permeability <br />soil liner; installation ofeight-ounce and sixteen-ounce geotextiles; construction ofa <br />groundwater collection system; construction ofa leachate collection and recovery <br />system; installation of 80-mil geomembrane; and construction of miscellaneous <br />drainage improvements. The project also included final closure of 11 leachate <br />evaporation ponds requiring selective excavation of approximately 150,000 CY of <br />material, and final closure ofthe landfill's South Slope area. Duties included <br />preparation of construction documents, construction management and construction <br />quality assurance monitoring (1996); <br />~ Construction Inspector during construction of miscellaneous drainage improvements at <br />the County of Orange's Frank R. Bowerman Sanitary Landfill, Orange County, <br />California. Duties included construction quality assurance monitoring (1995); <br />Resident Engineer during the Phase II -Module 2/3 Containment System Project at the <br />City of San Diego's West Miramar Landfill, San Diego, California.
