Project Number 08 -GP -01 <br /> C O N T R A C T <br /> THIS CONTRACT, executed on the respective dates <br /> indicated below, is effective as of July 1, 2010, by and between <br /> the Department of the Attorney General, State of Hawaii, <br /> hereinafter called "Agency ", by and through the Attorney <br /> General, and the Hawaii Police Department, hereinafter called <br /> "Grantee ". <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Street Act <br /> of 1968, as amended, Title I; 42 U.S.C. 50 et seq.; Crime <br /> Control Act of 1990, P.L. 101 -647; Appropriations Act of 2001, <br /> P.L. 106 -553; Appropriations Act of 2002, P.L. 107 -77; <br /> Appropriations Act of 2003, 2004, 2006; P.L. 110 -5, embedded <br /> secs. 101 -104; P.L. 109 -108, 119 Stat. 2290, 2302 authorize <br /> funding to support and expand Project Safe Neighborhoods task <br /> force efforts to reduce gun violence and gun crime. <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Attorney for the District <br /> of Hawaii and the Governor have designated Agency to serve as <br /> 1 (4/2010) <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br />
