BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />The County of Hawaii has been selected as a pilot site to implement a computer system interface to <br />electronically forward juvenile arrest data from the Hawaii Police Department's RMS (Records Management <br />System) to the Prosecuting Attorney's HITS (Hawai'i Island Tracking System). This will eliminate double <br />entry of information and will improve efficiency. The JJIS serves as a data repository for juvenile offender <br />information for the State of Hawai'i.
