FC-17 Page 3 September 7, 2011 <br /> <br /> <br />Comm. 327: AN ORDINANCE TO INITIATE A CHARTER AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE X, <br />(Bill 87) FINANCIAL PROCEDURES, SECTION 10-15, OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY <br /> CHARTER (2010 EDITION), REGARDING THE PUBLIC ACCESS, OPEN SPACE, <br /> AND NATURAL RESOURCES PRESERVATION FUND <br />From Council Member Brenda Ford, dated August 24, 2011. Removes the appropriation <br />of one percent of the capital program to the fund, and increases the appropriation from the <br />real property tax revenues from one to two percent. Also adds provisions for prohibition <br />of development on land purchased for open space, for leveraging money by attracting <br />matching funds, and attaching restrictive covenants to the recorded deed for parcels <br />purchased with the funds. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />The meeting place is accessible for persons with disabilities.
