SYNOPSIS <br /> On April 13 , 20 , and 27 20124 public notices were published <br /> by the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) <br /> in the local newspapers informing property owners that it <br /> would be accepting proposals for the Section 8 Project <br /> Based Voucher Program (PBV Program) . Under the program, <br /> the OHCD attached a Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment <br /> Contract (Agreement) to an existing structure . Through the <br /> program, the rent for each unit in the selected structure <br /> will be subsidized by the OHCD when the owner leases the <br /> unit to an income eligible family. The purpose of this <br /> program is to encourage property owners to make available <br /> rental housing unit (s) to low income families at rents <br /> within the current housing fair market rents . <br /> The OHCD received a total of four (4) responses . A three <br /> (3) member committee reviewed and rated the responses to <br /> the RFP. The committee recommended and the Housing <br /> Administrator has approved the following projects : <br /> • 13 vouchers for Na Kahua Hale 0 Ulu Wini; <br /> • 15 vouchers for Kamakana Villages - Senior Affordable <br /> Housing Community; <br /> • 20 vouchers for the Kamakana Villages - Multi Family <br /> Affordable Housing Community; and <br /> • 60 vouchers for the Mohouli Heights Neighborhood <br /> Residence Phase II . <br /> A copy of the rating sheet is attached for reference . <br /> 3606ss1h <br />
