These funds, derived <br /> from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program, will be used to <br /> implement a Court House Booking Project which will provide post-conviction, same=day <br /> penal summons booking at the Hilo and Kona court houses. This project will streamline <br /> the post-conviction booking process and will ensure that the information is entered into the <br /> statewide offender based tracking system. <br /> <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State <br /> of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General. <br /> <br /> Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating <br /> this $99,000 grant. <br /> <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of the Prosecuting <br /> Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Nl-~ <br /> <br /> Nancy E.
