Akau. Mr. Akau is a 26-year resident of Hawaii. He was formerly a heavy equipment operator with Isemoto Contracting and is presently a Business Representative with Local 3 Operating Engineers. Mr. Akau has coached paddling at Parker School, volunteered with Keiki Motocross and he is an AAU T-ball coach. He states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, Mr. Akau will serve a full term to expire on December 31, 2020. He will replace Mr. Neal Herbert whose term expires on December 31, 2015. Council District 2 — Kris L. K. Hoke. Ms. Hoke is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. She was formerly employed with Hawaiian Electric Light Company and is presently employed by IBEW L.U. 1260 as an Organizer/Representative. Ms. Hoke volunteers with the Hawaii Island Food Bank, the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association walks, and Labor Day Celebrations. She also volunteers at clean ups at Mt.
