13. U.S.D.A. Natural Resources Conservation Services soil Service Report soil type: Per <br />Soil Survey of Island of Hawaii, sheet 15 and 19, soils of the parcel are classified Maile <br />series. North I/3 of parcel is MLD, Maile Silt Loam series 6 to 20% slopes, South 2/3 <br />of parcel is MaA, Maile, Silt Loam, 0-3% slopes. <br />Maile series consists of well -drained silt loams that formed in volcanic ash. These are <br />nearly level at moderately steep soils on uplands. Elevation ranging from 2500 to 4000 <br />feet elevation and receive 60 to 90 inches of annual rainfall. Maile soils are used for <br />pasture and woodland. <br />Maile silt loam, 6 to 20 Percent slopes (MLD) is at intermediate elevations on the <br />windward side of the Mauna Kea.. Included with this soil in mapping are small, steep <br />drainage ways and gullies. Permeability is moderately rapid, runoff is slow , and the <br />erosion hazard is slight. This soil is use for pasture and woodland. <br />Maile silt loam 0 to 3 percent slopes (MaA) is in nearly level areas. Runoff is very <br />slow, and their erosion hazard is none to slight. This soil is used for truck crops and <br />pasture. <br />14. Land Study Bureau soil rating: Soil rating is "C" or Fair. <br />15. Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) designation: Per DPW County of Hawaii, no flood <br />zone designation has been assigned to this parcel. Parcel is located in Zone X, areas <br />which are determined to be outside of the 500 -year flood plain. <br />16. Existing Drainage ways or improvements: There are no drainage improvements on the <br />site.
