18. FIRM: Zone X(area outside of the 500-year flood plain). PUBLIC FACILITIES AND SERVICES 19. Access: The subject properties are accessed from the Old Government Road, which is maintained by the County and is approximately 21 feet wide. 20. Water: Extensive on and off-site improvements would have been required to accommodate the previous Trees of Kukuihaele development and the existing conditions of Ordinance No. 01-22. The Department of Water Supply(DWS) commented that it can confirm that there are three (3) existing service laterals installed to serve the subject parcels. Each service lateral is capable of accommodating one (1) 5/8-inch meter for each parcel, which is limited to an average daily usage of 400 gallons and suitable for only one (1) single-family dwelling. DWS has started construction of the Kapulena Well Development, Phase 2 project. The project consists of constructing the Kapulena Well and 0.30-MG Reservoir, including construction of waterlines,booster pump station modifications, and a control/chlorination building. Upon completion of the Kapulena Well Development, Phase 2 project, the water availability in this area is anticipated to be limited to one (1) unit of water, or one (1) 5/8-inch meter, per pre- existing lot of record. 21. Sewage Disposal: There are no existing municipal sewage systems in the area. Individual wastewater systems are approved by the Department of Health for sewage disposal. 22. Protective Services: Police and fire protection is provided from the Honoka`a town stations approximately seven (7) miles from the development site. AGENCIES' COMMENTS 23.
