Hawai'i County Clerk 05/29/2019 02:26:03 PM Hawaii County Council-14 June 4,2019 Bill 78: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 18-68, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2019 Appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants—Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act account ($1,053,000); and appropriates the same to the following 2019-2020 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act accounts: Administration Planning ($100,000), Adult Program ($350,000), Dislocated Worker Program ($250,000), Youth Program ($350,000); and the Federal Insurance Contributions Act Employer Share account ($3,000). Funds would be used to assist adults, dislocated workers, and youth by providing services that will train individuals to increase employment, retention, earnings, skills, and literacy. These donated funds would be used to offset costs incurred during the 2018 Lava Disaster in the lower Puna region.
