Earlier this year, the Ofticc of the Prosecuting Attorney received grant funding from the State of Hawaii Department of Human Services, Office of Youth Services, to create or expand prevention program(s) that address juvenile delinquency risk factors identified in the Hawaii County comprehensive strategic plan for juvenile justice. "They have solicited and have received proposals from organizations to assist in its Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Program. The Research Corporation of the University of Hawai'i's (RC[JH) proposal to implement a Title V juvenile delinquency prevention program at the Lanakila Learning Center was selected.
