SECTION 8. Chapter 27, article 3, section 27-14, Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 <br /> <br /> Edition, as amended), is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 27-14. Director of public works approval. <br /> No building permit, certificate of occupancy, or grading permit shall be issued, no <br /> building shall be occupied, and no development or subdivision shall be approved without <br /> the approval of the director of public works with respect to compliance with the <br /> provisions of this chapter." <br /> SECTION 9. Chapter 27, article 3, section 27-16, Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 <br /> <br /> Edition, as amended), is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 27-16. Duties and responsibilities of the floodplain administrator. <br /> The floodplain administrator, with the cooperation and assistance of other County <br /> departments, shall administer this chapter.
