Reference: Comm. 384 Intr. by: Mr. Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder(B/R) Waived: FC BILLS FOR ORDINANCES (FIRST READING) Bill 53: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 23-50, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2024 Appropriates revenues in the Federal Housing and Urban Development— Community Project Funding Kukuiola account($10,000,000); and appropriates the same to the following Housing and Urban Development—Community Project Funding Kukuiola programs: Program account($9,500,000) and Administration account($500,000). Funds would be used to support the planning, design, and construction cost of the Kukuiola Assessment Center and Emergency Shelter in North Kona. Funds would be used to support no-cost financial and homeownership counseling provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
