SMA Use Permit No. 276: On January 9, 1989, the Planning Commission approved <br /> SMA Use Permit No. 276 fora 48-unit condominium project and related developments <br /> on the property for then landowner Libbie Kamisugi. In a letter dated February 8, 2005, <br /> the applicant and current landowner has requested the revocation of this permit to pursue <br /> the current request. <br /> 3. Kailua Village Special District: The project site is located within the Kailua Village <br /> Special District. At its March 22, 2005 meeting, the Kailua Village Design Commission <br /> (KVDC) voted to recommend approval of the request. <br /> STATE AND COUNTY PLANS <br /> 4. State Land Use Designation: Urban. <br /> 5. General Plan LUPAG Map: Resort Node, under the 2005 LUPAG Map. Resort Node <br /> includes a mix ofvisitor-related uses such as hotels, condominium-hotels (condominiums <br /> developed and/or operated as hotels), single-family and multiple-family residential units, <br /> golf courses and other typical resort recreational facilities, resort commercial complexes <br /> and other support services. Only Major Resort Areas are identified as Resort Nodes on <br /> the LUPAG Map. <br /> 6. County Zoning: Multiple-Family Residential 1,000 square feet (RM-1). The requested <br /> Resort zoning would allow the following: <br /> • Height limit - 45 feet in the project area <br /> • Minimum building site area - ] 5,000 square feet <br /> • Minimum yards -front and rear yards, 20 feet; side yards, 8 feet for one story, 2 feet <br /> for each additional story <br /> • Landscaping -minimum of 20 percent of the total land area of any building site <br /> 7.
