The property is located on the <br /> mauka side of Alii Drive across from Huggo's Restaurant and the Royal Kona Resort Hotel <br /> complex, Kailua-Kona, Puaa 3`d, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-5-9: 23. <br /> REQUEST <br /> 1. Proposed Development: The applicant is requesting a change of zone from Multiple- <br /> Family Residential 1,000 square feet (RM-1) to Resort 750 square feet (V-.75) and a <br /> Special Management Area Use Permit to develop acommercial-residential complex <br /> consisting ofmulti-family units and commercial uses. The applicant is requesting the <br /> change of zone because the multiple family residential units are allowed under the current <br /> zoning but the commercial uses as proposed are not permitted. <br /> The proposed development, expected to take approximately 18 months, includes: <br /> • 67 multiple-family units in a maximum 45-foot high multi-story building, with 4 one- <br /> bedroom units and 63 two-bedroom units.
