The Environmental Management Department's Solid Waste Division received bids for the construction of permanent improvements at the Pahoa Recycling and Transfer Station; however, the bid amounts exceeded the funds that are available for the project. The increase in funding would be used for an additional chute intended to add additional refuse capacity and for a roof structure over the Recycling Center area.)
