Hawaii County Council-31 Page 3 January 22, 2010 Res. 290-09: Authorizes the Office of the Mayor to Enter Into an Agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, Pursuant to HRS 46-7, for a Hawaii Narcotics Task Force -Recovery Act Grant. {Funds would be used to maintain a narcotics taskforce of personnel from the Hawaii County, Maui, and Kauai Police Departments; increase knowledge of vice officers by providing training in such topics as narcotic investigations, current drug trends, smuggling and distribution techniques, and State/Federal laws that impact the taskforce; and conduct quarterly meetings to coordinate joint operations and training, as well as other enforcement efforts, and to share information.)
