Hawai‘i County Council-57 October 3, 2012 <br /> <br />Res. 300-12: AUTHORIZES THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF <br />MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR TWO <br />MULTI-FUNCTION COPIERS FOR THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT <br />Authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement for two multi-function <br />copiers for the Finance Department (one copier will be located at the Real Property Tax <br />Division office in Hilo and the other copier will be located at their office in the West <br />Hawai‘i Civic Center). <br /> <br /> Re: Comm. 836 <br /> Intr. by: Ms. Ford (B/R) <br /> Approve: FC-261 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Res. 303-12: URGES THE 2013 HAWAI‘I STATE LEGISLATURE TO REPEAL CHAPTER 171C <br />OF THE HAWAI‘I REVISED STATUTES (HRS) TO EFFECTIVELY ABOLISH THE <br />PUBLIC LAND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION <br />HRS 171C-4, subsection (a), in part, defines the powers of the Public Land Development <br />Corporation, and HRS 171C-4, subsection (c) reads “(c) The powers conferred herein <br />shall be liberally construed to effectuate the purposes of this chapter”. This resolution <br />states that the people of the County of Hawai‘i realizes the detrimental effect this would <br />have on our land, ocean, environment, and the avoidance of many of our zoning and <br />subdivision laws, which HRS 171C may ignore, and that the people of this County have <br />requested assistance from the Council of the County of Hawai‘i to support the repeal of <br />HRS 171C. <br /> <br /> Re: Comm. 843 <br /> Intr. by: Ms. Ford <br /> Approve: PC-65 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Res. 306-12: STRONGLY URGES THE COUNTY CLERK TO HIRE AN INDEPENDENT AND <br />EXPERIENCED ELECTIONS ADMINISTRATOR TO RUN THE 2012 HAWAI‘I <br />COUNTY GENERAL ELECTION <br />States that the Hawai‘i County Clerk hire an independent and experienced elections <br />administrator who has five to 15 years of supervisory experience in elections <br />administration, and that the election administrator be hired within seven business days <br />from the adoption of this resolution. <br /> <br /> Re: Comm. 850 <br /> Intr. by: Mr. Onishi <br /> Waived: GRC <br /> <br /> Page 3 <br /> <br />
