<br />Hawai‘i County Council-41 April 17, 2012 <br /> <br />Res. 244-12: AUTHORIZES THE MAYOR OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I TO EXECUTE AND <br />SUBMIT THE 2012 ACTION PLAN AND ALL OTHER RELATED DOCUMENTS TO <br />THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN <br />DEVELOPMENT (HUD) FOR THE 2012 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT (CDBG) AND TO THE STATE’S HAWAI‘I HOUSING FINANCE AND <br />DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR THE HOME INVESTMENT <br />PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAMS <br />The County of Hawai‘i anticipates a 2012 CDBG allocation of $2,520,236 and receiving <br />$75,000 of additional program income from the Residential Emergency Repair Program, <br />for a total amount of $2,595,236 of CDBG monies. The County is a State recipient of the <br />HOME Investment Partnerships Program, which includes $2,925,000 of 2012 HOME <br />funds and receiving $25,000 of program income, for a total amount of $2,950,000. It is <br />required by HUD that before the County receives its 2012 CDBG allocation, the County <br />shall submit its yearly Action Plan as required by the Consolidation Plan. The Action Plan <br />is a yearly plan that includes the actual projects and activities that will be carried out with <br />the County’s 2012 CDBG and HOME funds that must meet the priorities and objectives as <br />described in the Consolidated Plan. <br /> <br /> Re: Comm. 659 <br /> Intr. by: Mr. Hoffmann <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BILLS FOR ORDINANCES (FIRST READING) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Bill 212: AMENDS CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, SECTION 24-254 OF THE <br />HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br />20 MILE PER HOUR (MPH) LIMIT <br />Amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-254, Schedule 2 (20 mph limit), <br />subsection (g), by adding a new item and renumbered as required: “( ) Government <br />Beach Road from Papaya Farms Road to its northwestern terminus.” This amendment <br />updates the Hawai‘i County Code to match existing conditions and designates a 20 mph <br />speed limit for a portion of Government Beach Road. <br /> <br /> Re: Comm. 630 <br /> Intr. by: Mr. Blas <br /> Approve: PWPRC-86 <br /> <br /> Page 5 <br /> <br />
