Hawai‘i County Council-10 April 19, 2017 Bill 28: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 16-72, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2017, RELATING TO THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS TO THE PUBLIC ACCESS, OPEN SPACE, AND NATURAL RESOURCES PRESERVATION FUND Increases revenues in the Real Property Tax Interest account ($85,500); and appropriates $76,000 to the Transfer to Public Access/Open Space Preservation Fund account, and $9,500 to the Transfer to Public Access/Open Space Preservation Maintenance Fund account. Real property tax interest revenues are expected to exceed the amount budgeted for FY 2016-17, requiring additional funds be transferred into the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation (PONC) Fund and PONC Maintenance accounts in order to maintain compliance with County Charter mandated minimal appropriations to each fund.
