Funds will be used by the Police Department to improve Hawai‘i County’s response to violent sex crimes against women through medical and forensic services for victims of sexual assault. Re: Comm. 61 Intr. by: Ms. Poindexter Waived: FC ORDER OF THE DAY (SECOND OR FINAL READING) Bill 313 ( Draft 2): AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 12-87, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO PUBLIC (2010-2012) IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2012 TO JUNE 30, 2013 Adds Department of Parks and Recreation: Multi-Purpose Event Center ($500,000); funds shall be provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund-Fund Balance and/or Other Sources ($500,000). The funds would be used for the planning and design of a multi-purpose event center, the acquisition of property if not to be constructed on County property, and later the construction of the center.
