Hawaii County Clerk 01/16/2025 09:14:30 AM Hawaii County Council-4 January 22,2025 Bill 4: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 24-32, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DUNE 30, 2025 Appropriates revenues in the State Grants—Coffee Berry Borer Pesticide Subsidy Program account($135,000); and appropriates the same to the Coffee Berry Borer Pesticide Subsidy Program account. Funds would be used to assist coffee farmers by offsetting the cost of the insecticide used to control the Coffee Berry Borer and/or approved fungicides to control Coffee Leaf Rust. Reference: Comm. 29 Intr. by: Council Member Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder (B/R) Approve: FC-9 Bill 5: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 24-32, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DUNE 30, 2025 Appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants—National Criminal History Improvement Program account($318,240); and appropriates the same to the National Criminal History Improvement Program account. Funds would be used to enhance the department's Records Section to improve accuracy, quality, timeliness, immediate accessibility, and integration of national systems of criminal history and related records. Reference: Comm. 30 Intr. by: Council Member Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder (B/R) Approve: FC-10 Bill 6: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 24-32, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DUNE 30, 2025 Increases revenues in the Federal Grants—Hawai`i County Police Department Data Grant account($27,780); and appropriates the same to the Hawaii County Police Department Data Grant account, for a total appropriation of$107,780. Funds would be used to establish a statewide traffic data system and ensure compliance with national standards.
