INOUYE <br />Urges the State Legislature to rename the Saddle Road in honor of Daniel K. Inouye. <br />Daniel K. Inouye was elected as the United States Senator from Hawai‘i. During his <br />nearly 50 years in the Senate, Hawai‘i benefitted from Federal expenditures relating to <br />national defense, transportation, higher education, astronomy, agriculture, economic <br />development and community development, and Senator Inouye directed Federal funds <br />for the realignment of State Route 200, known as “Saddle Road.” Hawai‘i Senate Bill <br />No. 50 would rename the Saddle Road to “Daniel K.
