HEALY TO THE NATIONAL FREIGHT ADVISORY COMMITTEE The U.S. Department of Transportation is soliciting nominations for membership to the National Freight Advisory Committee (NFAC). States that Mr. Healy has been a vocal proponent of local governments working with freight, shipping, and railroad industries, and requests the U.S. Secretary of Transportation appoint him to NFAC to represent the views and interests of the counties of the United States. Reference: Comm. 215 Intr. by: Mr. Onishi Waived: GREDC Res. 94-13: AUTHORIZES THE APPROPRIATION AND USE OF A PRIOR YEAR’S FUNDS RESULTING FROM THE CANCELLATION OF PURCHASE ORDERS States the County Clerk authorized purchase orders towards legal services during the 2010-2012 Council Term (the Finance Director rejected the purchase orders due to the lack of required authorization by the Council resulting in unencumbered funds totaling $42,499). This measure appropriates the unencumbered funds for use in the current fiscal year.
