Hawaiʻi County Council-24 October 18, 2017 BILLS FOR ORDINANCES (FIRST READING) Bill 68: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 17-39, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2018 Decreases revenues in the Transfer from General Fund account (-$50,772); and increases the Office of Management Salaries and Wages account by the same amount. This transfers funding for the Special Program Coordinator from the Office of Housing and Community Development to the Office of Management. Funds would be used to purchase equipment and pay overtime for the enforcement of speeding citations. Reference: Comm. 517 Intr. by: Ms. David (B/R) Waived: FC ORDER OF THE DAY (SECOND OR FINAL READING) Bill 67: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 07-136, WHICH RECLASSIFIED LANDS FROM SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL – 10,000 SQUARE FEET (RS-10) TO INDUSTRIAL-COMMERCIAL MIXED – 20,000 SQUARE FEET (MCX-20) AT WAIĀKEA, SOUTH HILO, HAWAIʻI, COVERED BY TAX MAP KEY: 2-2-036:090 (Applicant: Rodney Tanaka) (Area: 22,500 Square Feet) The Windward Planning Commission forwards its favorable recommendation for this amendment, which would allow a five-year time extension to Condition C, time to complete construction. The project is located at the corner of the intersection of Lanikāula Street and Hīnano Street, and provides for a 9,075 square foot building to be used as warehouse space, an office, and a showroom.
