Hawai‘i County Council-4 January 23, 2013 Bill 4: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 12-86, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2013 Increases revenues in Federal Grants – State Homeland Security Program Fiscal Year 2010 ($119,487); and appropriates same to State Homeland Security Program Fiscal Year 2010. Funds will be used by the Civil Defense Agency to purchase specialized equipment to enhance the capability of State and County agencies to prevent and respond to incidents of terrorism and to support “all hazards” catastrophic preparedness initiatives. Funds will be used by the Police Department to purchase two additional Stealth Speed Data Collector units to monitor speeding in more locations (one unit will be used in Area 1 and the other will be used in Area II).
