Hawai'i County Clerk 10/11/2018 10:49:50 AM Hawaii County Council-51 October 17,2018 Bill 195: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 18-68, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2019 Increases revenues in the Federal Grants—Hawai`i County Police Department (HCPD) Traffic Investigation Program account ($34,340); and appropriates the same to the HCPD Traffic Investigation Program account for a total appropriation of$105,840. Funds would be used to increase the number of officers trained in advanced traffic accident reconstruction and other traffic-crash related courses. Funds would be used to increase the number of seatbelt and child restraint citations issued and to purchase 35 tint meters and a canopy tent. Funds would be used to combat the methamphetamine drug problem in Hawaii County by conducting sting operations and training police officers in the enforcement of these drug-related cases.
