Hawaii County Council -4 Page 2 January 20, 2011 <br />MEMORIALS, CERTIFICATES OF MERIT, AND EXPRESSIONS OF CONDOLENCE <br />9:00 A.M.: STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br />(NOTE: COUNCIL WILL TAKE A L UNCH BREAK CLOSE TO THE NOON HOUR) <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />ORDER OF RESOLUTIONS <br />Res. 16 -11 AUTHORIZES THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF <br />(Draft 2): $1,600 FOR THE PURCHASE OF TACTICAL BIKE PATROL EQUIPMENT <br />FOR THE HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Target donation to support the Police Department's Kona Community Policing <br />Section to purchase tactical bike patrol equipment (allowing the Department to <br />expand their bike patrol unit). <br />Re: Comm. 16.2 <br />Intr. by: Ms. Ford <br />Approved: FC -8 <br />Res. 17 -11 AUTHORIZES THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />(Draft 2): AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION, PURSUANT TO HRS 46 -7, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />PUBLIC WORKS GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) UNITS GRANT <br />Funds would be used by the Department of Public Works to purchase 100 GPS units <br />for the Police Department in order to obtain crash - location data.
