The State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General's Crime <br /> Prevention and Justice Assistance Division has authorized the above grant. The purpose <br /> of the grant is to improve the department's ability to collect evidence from wireless <br /> communication devices in order to respond appropriately to violent sex crimes, domestic <br /> violence crimes, homicides and assaults against women. <br /> Comm. 502: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 07-93, AS AMENDED, <br /> (Bill 119) RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE <br /> FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2007 TO JUNE 30, 2008 (by appropriating the fifth and final <br /> increment of the fuel tax increase, established by Resolution Nos. 192-97 and 241-97, in <br /> the amount $7.2 million <br /> From Finance Director William Takaba, dated June 26, 2007, transmitting the above bill. <br /> Projected revenues are being allocated utilizing the same distribution method as <br /> Increment 4 (based on each district's percent of miles of local streets), except that road <br /> mileage calculations now account for all roads maintained by the County. Previously, <br /> calculation excluded Federal Highways Administration (FHWA) roads as FWHA funds <br /> were used for those. The specific projects are listed on Exhibit A of the bill. <br /> <br />
